Care Philosophy

Dr. Reader received undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Texas. A fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology and Orbital Diseases and Surgery followed at the Harkness Eye Institute, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Reader is a prolific speaker and author, and uses nutrition and supplements in caring for his patients. Currently he is involved in eye-related vitamin studies.
Dr. Reader has three children and is a soloist in the St. Joseph Basilica choir.
